Charity ceilidh

If you want to organise a ceilidh to benefit a charity, the following costs are involved:

£360 pounds if you need a ceilidh band

£40/hour if you need Lauriston Hall – capacity 180

£100 pound non-returnable deposit

Bar: soft drinks £1, alcohol £3.

You need to prove you are doing it for a charity by sending us headed notepaper from the charity. If you don’t work for the charity, you need to get the charity to send us a letter/e-mail on headed notepaper with the phrase “We understand we may contact Ken Gourlay on 339 5374 or ken@edinburghceilidhs.co.uk to check the amount credited to the charity”. We then check this against a charity database.

If you book us for a charity, we give you advice on how to advertise & sell tickets. If 2 weeks before you suspect that you are not going to sell enough tickets, tell us and we will advertise it to the public. We will then give your charity 50% of our ticket sales.

e-mail us with required date(s) and times (if you don’t get an answer within 2 days it may be because we’re travelling and out of range of wifi in which case you may want to leave a message on 0131 339 5374 which we check every day).
